Ingredients:
White Chocolate: This forms the top layer and is flavored with peppermint extract.
Dark Chocolate: The bottom layer that provides a rich, deep chocolate taste.
Peppermint Extract: This gives the white chocolate layer its minty flavor.
Crushed Candy Canes: These are sprinkled on top for a crunchy texture and festive appearance.
Instructions:
Prepare the Layers: Melt the dark chocolate and spread it into a thin layer on a baking sheet. Once set, melt the white chocolate and pour it over the dark chocolate.
Add Flavors: Mix peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate for that classic minty taste.
Garnish: Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the white chocolate before it sets.
Set and Serve: Allow the bark to set until firm, then break it into pieces and enjoy!

12 ounces white chocolate, chopped

6 ounces semisweet or dark chocolate, chopped

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Crushed candy canes or peppermint candies

Preparation


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  3. Stir in the peppermint extract.

  4. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it into an even layer.

  5. Melt the semisweet or dark chocolate using the same method and pour it over the white chocolate layer.

  6. Quickly sprinkle crushed candy canes or peppermint candies over the melted chocolate.

  7. Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until set.

  8. Break into pieces and enjoy your festive peppermint bark!
